Still waiting for quotations for Grand Old House (we don't want the full package)...they seem to be very slow to get back to us, and alot of what appears to be auto -responses
However, more or less coming round to the idea of the Grand Cayman wedding now - just have to make sure I have wedding insurance incase we cannot tender there due to weather

I owuld do it on the ship for one reason, if something happens and the ship does not dock on time, or cannot dock for any reason it will ruin the plans.

That's a good point but fortunately our arrangements only include ourselves, and my 2 kids, and we are not in any particular hurry to wed...if we had arranged for our family and friends to fly over to be there too, I would have to agree with you - too risky.
I think we are going to throw caution to the wind (plus take out insurance so we can afford to restage it if we need to !) and go for the Grand Cayman wedding now... the more I've compared the two, the more I'm feeling we will get more of a special day, rather than a special couple of hours, with the GC option...plus it gives me an excuse to go back there which I'd love to do I've had the OK from th Grand Old House that they have a slot for us on that day...just have to make a payment... and its actually working out a fair bit cheaper ($1700), for exactly what we want including the horse drawn carriage, to and from the ship. Thanks for all your imput guys .

WOW! That will be so cool... I would go with GC (we are going there in Nov on Freedom of the Seas so I can't wait!)
There are some ships where you can actually get married on the ship but I am guessing you know this already! You will have a wonderful time, I am sure
