car hire - Hertz vs Alamo and few Hertz questions
Hertz question - are the pay at location quotes guaranteed or is it likely to adjust to market rates? the price for premium car is cheaper if select pay at location
Many good reports for Alamo Car Care at Disney. We are staying at CBR. Is it worth paying extra to hire with Alamo or will Hertz do the same as they seem to offer pick up from WDW locations too |

Hi. 15% is a lot of cash! I dont think that for 15% I would go with Alamo especially as by picking up at WDW you dont get to pick your own car unlike the Airport.
Hertz is a very good Company and I would hire with them no problem at all. As you say they are on site as well albeit I cant remember which hotel for the life of me!

It depends on what currency your pay at Location rate is in. Our booking with Hertz is in US Dollars and I accept that by the time we get the car that the exchange rate may have varied and we will pay slightly more or less. The price quoted will stay the same.
Make sure you check if you are eligible for a CDP discount rate which can be entered on the booking screen. A good free one for subscribers to the mousesavers email is CDP #2011420 for 10% off. If you have various company schemes or Amex cards you can get CDPs for up to 25% off. Finally, join Hertz Gold club (free) prior to booking and you will get Gold Canopy service which allows you to go straight to garage and you get your spouse as a free additional driver. |

Alien, can you share the code. Sign up for free Gold membership with Hertz and you get a second driver free and can skip the queue and go straight to the garage.

I forgot to mention checking the other Hertz European sites as we booked through the French site. There has been previous posts for deals on the Hertz Austrian site too. If you book pay on arrival you can always cancel for free and rebook if you find a cheaper deal. You just need to keep checking. There was a couple of days about a month ago when the UK site prices halved and then went back up.
