There is no age. It's Disney! I guarantee there will be older kids.

Food is better at Akershus and cheaper but you can't beat the experience of eating at the Castle at CRT. We've done both twice. Pics of both in my 2012 and 2015 food reports in my signature below.

I think I'm more excited to meet the princesses than my DD6 so no there is no age or height restriction

Just breakfast. Not done dinner before at either. Menu doesn't appeal for dinner at CRT. I have thought about dinner at Akershus for May but booked breakfast again.

Have done dinner at both. TBH don't think we rated the food at either place that highly. However, food is not necessarily the reason to go. We received the free photo at both places but not sure if you still get that. Although CRT is more expensive it does include the tip even on DDP which is not the case at Akershus. And don't forget the experience. Also, Akershus used to be reasonably quiet - not sure if that is still the case with the new frozen ride, so not sure how that may have changed the atmosphere.

Check prices for 2017 both have price increases but Akershus now is not that much cheaper considering gratuity is included in CRT. If you had asked me last year Akershus hands down but just had a rubbish expensive experience so trying CRT again.
