Carlton leisure for flights?

Hi there,

Just found a really good price for flights October next year fromAberdeen. I am using skyscanner and the company is Carlton Leisure, I’ve never heard of them has anyone used them before? Also flights don’t include baggage it says to add bags at online check but how much will that be? The flights werel BA/Finnair... any advice please.

😃😃

Hi I have also looked today at cheap flights with Carlton Leisure (in July but still the same flights I think). I called Carlton who told me the baggage would be £45 per case each way, so an extra £90 per person. It can’t be booked with them, it has to be booked directly with the airline I think. Not impressed with this new way of pricing with hand luggage only - they don’t make it easy to price up to include a case. I also called Iberia today regarding a similar route, they told me it would be £119 per case each way ... needless to say I’m not booking that either!

Sorry I can’t comment on how good Carlton Leisure are but I have also found similar prices using Expedia and Netflights so maybe they are worth a look.

Thanks for the info. I agree with you totally the pricing of flights now is confusing compared to the last time i booked. Makes me a bit nervous having to pay for baggage at the online check in point... without a price being included in my original booking 😬😬

I’ve not heard anything bad about Carlton Travel. The Finnair/BA flights are world alliance flights. Is it operated by AmericanAirlines? You have a 8 kg carry on allowance and pay for your checked bag at check in . A case upto 23kg is €50 at check in or $60 . Not a problem . Hope this helps

We booked a multi city MAN-NYC-MCO with Carlton Leisure a couple of years ago and they were fine, flights showed up straight away and we were able to book seats etc. I agree now things have changed with luggage it makes it more difficult as you think you're getting a good price then get hit with baggage charges, but the agents are just following the airlines who are now all charging extra for luggage.
