What do your points get you in RCI?
Like lots of others, our banked points are due to expire in the summer. I know we cab put them into RCI but I have no idea what they are ‘worth’ if we do that. Our 214 points currently get us 12-14nts at Disney. If I put them into RCI what is my equivalent stay? Is it worth doing?
I’ve looked on the RCI site for property locations but can’t see any points/prices. |

We banked 200 points into RCI so I’ve been looking at options. I think it will get us a 1 or 2 bed for a week in some properties in central Washington, San Fran, Vegas if looking at USA. It certainly doesn’t seem to get you as much as usual but then I wasn’t expecting it would but at the time we had no option. Not sure if it will get you more in say this country or Europe and I haven’t looked at more rural resorts in USA as we were looking for a city break without a car. You can see room availability and points for available resorts if you choose a date and search for only available rather than just looking at a property. I find the website worse than Disney’s and it takes ages to look up a few places which is very annoying. We are wanting something for 2022 so are still looking.

I have been a member of RCI since 1990 and over that period much has changed in relation to the value of your resort or points. As I am a weeks owner and not points it is difficult to fully answer your question but for owners like me there is a value placed on both the resort and the period you bank. As you are banking Disney points Inwould suggest they carry a high exchange value. A quick call to RCI will certainly answer your query.

OP we were told that you can only put points into RCI in multiples of 10 - so you’d either lose 4 points or need to add another 6 in. We had to lose some to RCI earlier this year and I think its looking quite likely that there’ll be a few more yet. Haven’t booked anything yet, but believe there’s an exchange fee per transaction too?

Excited about Disney

Just to bump this thread- but our banked points are expiring end of March. We posted them on David a while ago but no joy, and whilst I joined the DVC points rental group on Facebook it just seems to be a bit of hassle- thinking now RCI is our only option just to buy some time!
Had a look at the UK properties in case we are limited to travelling here for the foreseeable and they look very poor value unless anyone has spotted any hidden gems!
