scooter hire with split stay ?

Hi Guys
so for next years trip I have convinced my mam to come along ... shes terrified of flying but after a stroke earlier this year has now said life is to short .. yay sort of
well since the stroke she cant walk very far and gets so tired. I am planning on hiring a scooter for her but I was wondering what the logistics of this would be?
we are staying at beach club for 14 nights then transferring to HRH for 5 or 6 nights.
do we take the scooter with us ? we were planning on just ubering ? or can we do 2 rentals plus how do they work ?

also am I right in assuming that we should be able to use a wheelchair provided at the airport for her ?

Thanks
Lisa x

With regard to wheelchairs at the airport I would recommend you contact your airline and ask them to put wheelchair assistance in your booking (this will go in for both departure and arrival airports). It will also allow pre-boarding of the aircraft - bearing in mind that does mean you would have to wait for everyone to disembark the plane. However at least at the USA side you should be taken through immigration lanes a little quicker.

I am sure Dibbers with more experience will be along soon with answers to your scooter question.

So we did 2 rentals last year for a very similar thing through Walker Mobility but they did it was one cost. We emailed them and explained what we were doing and they sorted it all out for us.

Airport wise, make sure you mark her as needing special assistance and they will get you a wheelchair when you exit the plane and you can get one this end too if needed
