When I looked about 10 days ago the dollar was 1.56, now I have the money and am ready to buy its gone down to 1.49 and is going down every day

Think I'll leave it as close as possible till when we go and see if maybe if comes up a bit

It is isn't it.There were reports that it could sink to as low as $1.05! Though I couldn't see that happening,even if the country is in a total mess.
Think I read that in The Telegraph and would also mean parity with the Euro

Hope not,but will be interesting to see what it will do after the election.

Wish I had a crystal ball.

I bought some more yeasterday and got $1.47, we go end March and didn;t want to leave it much longer just in case it started to drop again, most of my dollars were bought at $1.58

I don't know what to do

We are on a cruise for the first week and spends have to be put on a CC so I am totally dependant on what the rates are. For the second week I have some $ but need to buy some more. Wish i'd got them before.

Another one here who has been keeping a very close eye on the rate - really wish I'd bought sooner but hindsight is a wonderful thing!

DH has just left to go and buy some of our dollars at 1.485 - if it carries on dropping we'll just have to bite the bullet and buy all of ours.

But on the plus side, it's getting closer to our hols and I'm so excited, I won't let the rate spoil my trip!

Rubbish isnt it... we've been into Thomas Cook today to get a holiday quote and they seemed to think the rates will continue to drop until we have an election.

Yes it's really bad at the moment.

I have half of mine and the rest arriving soon.

I just checked it and was pretty shocked its dropped down again

We are off to NY in June i'm hoping it will go up before we go, starting to wish I had ordered from a cancelled contract on that site we can't mention.
Really hoping it improves and by quite a bit in the next 18 months or our wedding is going to cost more than I hope
