just given my MIL £500 today to exchange to $ for me! she works in the bank so no commission ect ect

and she told me the rate was 1.99 so looks like we will have alot of $$$$ tonight


ill give her another £400 next week so we have around $1800 with us... more then we were gunna take but then i thought have to buy xmas gifts while there really LOL

so excited and i have such a long time to go lol

I just called round the usual lot and most I can get is $1.954. Keep hearing of everyone getting $1.99 and some even $2 but we're still getting lower.

Anyone got any ideas?

My uncle lives in hartlepool and they always get a little higher rate up there.
