"Unwanted" Fastpass
This will be my 6th time with my family and every time my mum and sister have said they're going on Tower of Terror, only to chicken out as we reach the queue. This has resulted in several wasted fastpass'
My friend asked me why me and my dad didn't just ride again with their fastpasses by swapping magic bands. I always assumed this wouldn't be possible as yes, I could pass for my sister, but my dad couldn't pass for my mum. Do they get any of this information when we scan into the fastpass queue? Do you think this would be possible for a one off? Every other fastpass we've booked is for rides they've been on before. But every single time they chicken out of TOT. Though I'd hope they go on it this time, I don't want to waste their fastpasses again...

You are not supposed to but people do it.
The fastpasses scanner just checks you have a FP no sex change required ! Since ToT has changed from a bar to individual belts it's not nearly as bad. I used to hate it when it was the bar Edited at 12:19 PM. |

Many people do, i believe when they scan the ticket/band it has a name and tells them if you have one or not.
Ive had my daughter go through on my ticket before.

As long as theirs haven't been activated by tapping in they could be modified to allow them to ride something else whilst the rest of you ride.

We did it a lot on our last trip. I don’t do anything scarier than POTC! So we booked FPs for us both and DH rode twice.
It is officially not allowed but provided you are both actually in the park, CMs don’t mind. Yes, I could have booked FPs for something else, but there is nothing I want to ride that he doesn’t!

Excited about Disney

We do it on the 'scary' rides like Tower of Terror and Expedition Everest. Daughter loves them, son in law and me are the biggest chickens so she gets 3 rides, we sit and have an ice cream instead

Yes as others have said we’ve done this with no issues. When you scan in at the fastpass entrance the cast member briefly sees a green tick on their screen along with your first name. Even if your band scanned as a very obviously male name I really don’t think anything would be said.
They often are really busy with a lot of people trying to get in the fp q and some who don’t go green, so they are just having a very quick glance before the next person scans in. Xx |

I’m a stickler for rules but I personally think this is fine. It doesn’t affect anyone as your family could ride and so numbers are the same. I’d do it definitely.
