Packing Cubes or Marie Kondo style!

In your opinion, what's the best way to pack.. using packing cubes or with that fiddly folding that Marie Kondo has introduced!

If packing cubes, wheres the best ones to get?

Neither, I tried packing cubes once and pulled everything out before we left as there was loads of wasted space in the case. Rolling everything saved about half of the space of packing cubes.

I combine the two and roll everything in the packing cubes! I only got packing cubes for the first time last year and can’t believe I went this long without them. They’re brilliant!

I use carrier bags.

It takes as long to pack that it does type this.

1st carrier bag - Chuck a few t-shirts, shorts, maybe a shirt, socks and boxers in a carrier bag... trainers and flip-flops, maybe a hoodie if its to hand.

2nd carrier bag - get toothbush from bathroom, toothpaste, shower gel from shower, shaver & gel and some hair gel.

3rd Carrier bag - Phone charger, go pro charger and leads and a few plug adaptors and and 4 ganger extension lead.

4th carrier bag - anything i have missed and pick up onroute to the front door.

Chuck the lot into a case which weights maybe 4kg max.

Pocket - cash and wallet with passport.

And thats packing done for me...

Wife and kids cases - thats a different story but i prefer not to get involved with that

Haven't seen the fiddly folding method, but I roll in my packing cubes. Not really sure what people mean when they say packing cubes take up space, as they are soft and squish down even if not full!

Could not deal with a suitcase packed without cubes now it would be such a mess lol.

I fold into the case (particulalay if we are fly driving) so I can see absolutely everything in the case.

Works for me!

I bought a load of 'wash bags' from the Pound Shop to use as packing cubes. Work really well, I got 6 T shirts in one with the 'fancy' (it's not really) rolling method. Less creasing with the rolling too

Both - I fold to the size that will fit in the cube best. I tried rolling - they were all sorts of shapes and sizes.
