Was wonderful to sit back and look at it when finished though and a bit emotional as when we began I had no idea how my DH would be health wise, and he is actually doing fantastically, this was for him. 💜

Looks fab! We have just had our patio redone in our new house with raised beds etc.. your garden is very similar shape to ours . We had Indian sandstone as it was more readily available so didn’t have to wait long (booked them and had garden finished in 2 weeks!)
Looks abit bleak right now but none of our new plants are flowering yet

The garden looks amazing, I’m getting garden envy looking at it. It’s going to be a beautiful place to sit out and enjoy the summer 💞

Even better news about your DH, I’m so pleased to hear he’s doing well and the future is looking as bright as your gorgeous garden 😂 💞

We’ve finally found someone to lay a patio for us next month - it’s been really difficult trying to find anyone able to do it at the moment.

Went looking at slabs yesterday and I think we’ve decided. Will post some photos in due course - just hope it all goes to plan. Our garden is in a bit of a sorry state at the moment. We had an enormous conifer taken down a couple of months ago which has left a very large muddy area - the dog loves it!

As for the garden - you have done a wonderful job! Can I ask about the lights in the tree and border? How are they powered? Electricity/battery/solar? I'd like to add a bit of prettiness to my garden

Thanks, the lights are just really cheap solar powered from Home Bargains.

So pleased you found someone to do the garden work for you, I can’t wait to see the photos when it’s completed, although I’m not so sure your dog will be too happy 😂

Good morning my green fingered friends! I need help!

I bought a little Japanese Acer last year and it didn’t do much but I put that down to placing it in the wrong location as the leaves scorched. This year it looks so sad and has made no progress at all! Shall I cut it back?

Really not sure what to do with it but won’t give up yet!

I bought a very small Acer last year and some of the leaves were scorched from the garden centre when we bought it. I removed the scorched leaves and it improved no end.

This is it this year, double the height from last year. I’ve got it in the pot for now but when it’s bigger I will plant it in the garden. At the moment it’s in a very sunny spot on the patio and gets full sun all day but the leaves seem to be fine this year

Thank you, I have no leaves at all this but will persevere! I’ve read they like ground coffee so have collected 2 days worth and will give that a go 👍
