As everyone has already said, discuss it with your GP so you can get the help you need. Nothing at all to be ashamed or embarrassed about. We all need help now and then xxx
This s true.
A few friends were affected that way.
I myself didn't/am not depressed as such but I became much more anxious. This anxiety came out of the blue, definitely related to hormonal surges.
i still suffer from anxiety now.
I was prescribed very low dose medication and counselling, which was useless. I didn't try to change my meds as I'd tried lots of different ones when I suffered from post natal depression and none worked.
That's a good point actually - if you suffered from post natal depression or PMT then you're more likely to be affected by menopausal mood symptoms (my Meno specialist told me) As it's all hormonal.

good luck, hope you find relief for your symptoms x
I'm still struggling with it a bit now, years on.

I’m 33 so not menopause but I have endometriosis so I don’t know if it’s all attached to that with the hormones.

You can have a blood test to test if you are peri menopausal.

I suffer from Peri menopausal anxiety, I have been put on a low dose of setraline and it has made such a difference

My daughter takes Fluoxetine (Prozac) for anxiety. It works very well for her even though she often struggles with other medications. It has given her a life back.
