I hadn’t realised that was the rule. I thought it was for social reasons and that staff/carers etc wouldn’t have counted.

There's not written rules about live in domestic staff that I can find since it's an uncommon scenario now. However they have a household of about 20 staff that's been in place since the first lockdown, it's been nicknamed HMS Bubble.
Even if could technically be considered a workplace rather than a household, the Queen wouldn't want to be seen bending the rules to suit her own needs. Especially related to lockdown restrictions that have affected so many people. It's never been her way. Edited at 10:47 PM. |
