What is this on my new grass?

Had new turf laid in September/October last year.

It’s now full of this. What is it?

No I wouldn't be too happy either to be honest.

It's the grass reseeding itself.

Personally I prefer this type.

I don't know but it may well be seeding from elsewhere IE on the wind. Lawns like all garden plants need feeding and weeds suppressed.

Good luck

What kind of turf did you ask for? General purpose turf usually includes some harder wearing grasses for family use - meadow grass is harder wearing. If you specified a bowling green then you would be right to be concerned!😉

This! We have nice grass at the front and not so nice grass in our back garden.

We had the same with our lawn when we grew it from seed. The farmers store that we bought the seed from asked us loads of questions about what we’d be using the garden for. We needed a hardy grass because the kids play football loads
