Just watching this on Discovery+, it’s really good if you’re a Back To The Future fan.

Leads me to ask... at Universal Studios was there an original (as there were 7 used in the films) De Lorean outside the BTTF ride?

I remember the car outside the ride but not sure it was the original

Yeah, I’m not sure either, probably a dummy prop, although there were 7 “original” cars for the films. This program is interesting though. Only 1 episode available at the moment so looking forward to seeing where it goes and if they locate all the cars... saw 2 in the first episode.

I don't know the exact facts of how many there were (I thought it was just 3 in the original film but maybe I'm wrong if it's saying 7) but the documentary Outatime is a look at restoring one of the ones that was at universal and making it as screen accurate as possible. I don't know if its on anything as I bought it on bluray but its worth a watch

I believe car A was on display at Universal Studios Hollywood (in a clear case), the 'Oxnard' car was on display at Universal Studios Florida, and parts of two cars (car C and one from the third movie) were combined into one car to display at Universal Studios Japan.

I think car A (the "hero" car) has now been restored and is in the Petersen Museum in LA.

There were 3 cars in the original film - cars A, B and C. However, they then built another 4 for the other two movies (note that one of them was made of fiberglass). So 7 cars in total across the three movies.

It’s on Discovery channel every Monday night at 9pm its on catch up episodes 1&2.
Love the cameos from the stars of the movies trilogy.
