Adding 1 to room

Hi all, looking for some advice.

We have a friend visiting us over Christmas for 2 days. He has his own off-site hotel organised, MYW tickets all linked up to MDE.

But, as we are on a room only package to the BC, (4 of us), I should be able to add him FOC. That way he can book FP straight away and also use EMH with us, plus we'll be guaranteed a room with a Murphy bed, so all good. I have queried with my TA but likely won't get an answer till Monday. We're in MK and Epcot the days he's with us and both are showing FP availability for the same rides as us at the moment, so we may even still be ok in a weeks time when his 30d kick in.

Now I know I can invite him to be friends on MDE and then manage his FP+ for him, but if he's on the room booking will that still work, or do I somehow link his ticket and our room package . Never done any linking before so want to make sure I get it right.

So, despite not 'working' at the weekend, my lovely US TA (she has been fab) responded yesterday (Sat) evening. As it's 3 adults in a room there is a charge of $25pn and has to be for the full stay. So I'm thinking now that $250 is not worth it
