It's nice to be cool about these things - but I'd want to see it there!

Me too, but it seems lots of us in the same boat. I have never booked so far in advance and it always appeared in about a week. The only reason I’m getting stressed about it all is the non sale now. Our holidays are fixed in stone next year and this is a treat to our daughter and her family as we are treating them to help celebrate our 50th anniversary. Think I will wait another week then phone Disney as don’t think VH can help.
It’s just the reassurance of seeing it there

We’ve booked for Oct but not tried to link yet as I don’t want it messing up my adrs for this years trip. We have confirmation emails, so hoping all will be ok when I link in November?!

Why? As long as you have the confirmation invoice you should be fine. You won't be able to do anything till 180 days out at the soonest so I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Oh for the days when MDE, Fast Passes, ADRs etc didn't exist. People just booked their holiday and got on with it without all this stressing. I should add that my last visit was in 1997 so this is all new to me. I'm not one of those who's been loads of times. When I heard about it, it nearly put me off going as it all sounded so complicated.

When I booked last year for my trip for this September it took 6 weeks to link. When I booked a few weeks ago for my trip next September it took 3 weeks to link. Both times were direct with Disney. As long as you have your confirmation invoice you should be fine.

As already said its not so much about mde itself as we all know we cant do anything until 180 days, I think the unprecedented move by disney to pull all hotels us whats got us all jumpy. No fuss, just needing reassurance.
