MNSSHP in August? !
Hi everyone,
So as the title suggests, I am in a quandary whether to get tickets for our end of August trip next year when they get released. For those that have done this event at this time of year, does it feel really silly? Were you able to get in the 'Halloween mood'? Our DD will be 7 and cannot envisage us going during October at any point whilst she is of school age so this would be the only chance we have of experiencing it. Just wanted some thoughts on whether it is worth it, especially so far from actual Halloween? Thanks guys |

We're usually out during the end of August/very beginning of September and it's just always felt too early to me do do a Halloween event. Each to their own of course and I'm sure it'd still be a great night, but I enjoy doing it in October, then coming home to it being Halloween here.
The local kids here were delighted with our American treats they got from us, something different in their trick or treat bags. I just lose interest in things if they drag on for too long (like Christmas starting already... )

We went at the end of August this summer and had a great time. Our DS is school age so we will never be going in October, but we were glad to be getting the opportunity to go and we would do it again at that time.

We usually go in October but as next year we go in August instead I plan to still do the event as I enjoy it so much.

We went in August 2017 and had an amazing time. It happened to be on for our last night and it was the perfect ending to our holiday.
The kids got lots of candy (that we had to try and stuff into suitcases the next day). We had a great interaction with the ugly step sisters who stole a bunch of sugar sachets from a QS stand and gave them to us. We went on rides multiple times without queues, met Moana and enjoyed the fireworks. I'm not sure it really felt like Halloween but we had a great time and I think it was definitely worth it. The only reason we might not do it again next year is wanting to try other things and the cost of extras really mounts up.

We went this year for the first time in August and absolutely loved it! I would definitely go again, we only go to Orlando in the summer hols as have 3 school age children and I work in a school, so when I got the chance to go this year I was so pleased. As well as the wonderful show, fireworks and parade we had fun getting the sweets and the rides were near enough a walk on, longest we queued was 10 mins. I made t shirts for 6 of us and youngest DS dressed up as Mickey Mouse, so many people were in costume, we didn’t feel silly at all. I would definitely go, you DD will love it!

We discussed it, our inlaws were going, the only disney thing in the 3 weeks they went
we decided it was way too early and would just feel like we were going through the motions they had a great time though |

We did it for the first time this year. We were lucky enough to catch the first night and as most others suggest, it is a real blast.
The only slightly quirky thing was trick or treating in the heat... usually we are all wrapped up trudging around after the lad! We ended up with 7 bags full of sweets...certainly added a bit of weight to the suitcase but was a novelty for the kids knocking on our door this year to have something different. We enjoyed it that much that we booked it again for the following week, so would definitely recommend. |

We went on August 31st this year, and to be honest we’re not really Halloween people, never been trick or treating, or get dressed up. But all 4 of us really enjoyed it! It was great to see the park all lit up in Halloween colours, some of the costumes are amazing, the treat stations are brilliant, the amount of sweets we came home with was crazy! It was great to meet some different characters too, plus the hallowishes fireworks and the parade! It was really really hot, which was a bit odd though lol. We’re going in October next year so might do it as we only have 2 day Disney tickets. Still not sure yet 😄

I guess it's a bit like us doing MVMCP last week in 30 degrees, felt a bit weird, didn't really want hot cocoa that night! We also went to MNSSHP on Halloween night so that was good, but the Christmas party night in the heat was good but felt a bit odd, however the parade and fireworks were better than Halloween I thought.
