Read your tickets carefully ... !

Every piece of correspondence from First Choice has told us that we need to check in at 07:55 for our 09:55 flight.

But, looking at the actual tickets - they now say 06:55 check in !

We had planned to get there early anyhow, but now we'll have to get there even earlier, if we are to miss the potential crowds.

Anyone know what time the check-in desks actually open?

I was under the impression that long haul is a 3 hour prior to take off check in - unless you are Premier class etc.

Actually you don't HAVE to check in 3 hours before - usually the check in opend 3 hours + before but if you're not first in the queue it could take you an hour to check in!

Obviously the earlier you get there the less rush it'll be, but they won't refuse you check in if you don't get there spot on 3 hours prior to check in!

I'm flying from Glasgow and I thought check-in opened 4 hours before our flight. Thus we were going to be checking in at 5.30am for our 9.30apm flight.

Sorry - it would help to add that information - I'm flying from Gatwick.

I always thought it was best to give it at least 3 hours, but was lulled into a false sense of security by the First Choice correspondence - after all, if anyone should know, it's them !

If you've not booked the sit together option get there as soon as possible - we were at Sanford over 3 hours early & hardly queued but still didn't get seats together!
