You can view your bill with myo2 online or via the app. Mine states £20 and with my previous contracts I always paid what it said.
I’ve slso been told that charges will appear for maybe 3 days before being removed automatically

I was just checking out DW's contract, which is a sim-only 20gb deal we've had for a bit over a year. Currently paying just over £20 (as it increased after a year)
On the main screen it says she has the O2 Travel Bolt On, and when I look at that, it says £4.99 per day on it. So I go to the Upgrade page and pick the same contract which now includes O2 travel, but is actually slightly cheaper as it's £20 exactly. Then on the confirmation page it says the old tarrif includes it already. Thus totally contradicting what the other page said! I'll just upgrade it as I don't trust them at all! Saves a quid or so per month and will defintely include it then!

If you go in store they will do it for you so you can then check you have the correct bolt on for the travel.
I did it yesterday and took all of 5 minutes and I am now paying the same £20 with 20gb data and get the inclusive travel so all is good.

I just had a look on the O2 and it’s really not clear when the O2 Travel bolt on is free or not! Appears to be only the £20+ 12m sim only plans. That’s actually not too be if you ask me, it’s just the data allowance won’t get you through the morning (see one of my earlier posts)

Ok well after upgrading yesterday online, her account now has 2 additional bolt-ons - O2 Travel (As before), and O2 Travel Inclusive Zone.
So I guess we're set. Assuming Inclusive Zone includes USA - I can't seem to find the definitive list of countries anywhere!

Make sure you check with O2. I phoned last week and was told £7.50 per 24 hours for the USA. It's 90p a minute if you don’t have it.

Thank you for posting this message. I'm on O2 and my contract is up for renewal on 9th June. I want to keep my existing phone and have just been on chat with them. I can keep my existing SIM and upgrade to a different contract from 9th June. I told the blokey I want the one which includes the USA travel bolt on and he said I could have that - he mentioned about it being 20gb. My current tariff is £18.13 a month so not a lot extra.

If you have the 02 travel inclusive bolt on then you are fine for USA, I made a few 5 minute calls from the Dominican republic and also used data when I was there over Easter time and it didn't cost me any extra . I also sent texts to the family in New York last week and no extra charges

I’ve been speaking to o2 today as my husbands phone is due to be upgraded. Seems like all contracts now come with o2 travel inclusive zone which includes America.
I don’t have this but they have confirmed I can use my husbands data through his personal hotspot 😁 so that’ll do me for 2 weeks 😁 |
