Marston's are in Burton on Trent
Theakstons are in Masham, as is Black Sheep
Newcastle Brown is now brewed in Tadcaster, at the John Smiths factory and owned by Heineken.

Theakstons Old Peculiar Cornishfrogboy. It was good!

Old Tom's Christmas Ale from Robinsons in Stockport, wow blow your head off. They'd only sell you it in halves.

I confess that I tried most of them. I grew up on Wadworths 6X and Oldtimer.
As my tastebuds refined, I inevitably graduated to Cider like all Southwesters do.. and Lager when stationed in Germany.

Speaking of being a northerner - we went to Manchester last weekend and we’re on the tram and there was the recorded message and DH was only half listening they were giving the covid do’s and don’ts and DH said “that’s funny hearing her say it proper Northern - “touch out”” and I was totally puzzled for ages until I finally worked out he didn’t realise she was telling you to TOUCH OUT on the tram system he thought she was saying “DONT TOUCH OWT! ”

Like they are having specific local messages
“Wash yer hands, keep yer distance n don’t touch owt! ”
🤣🤣🤣
