Sorry you are feeling poorly. Tough time with all the works going on too.
Once they start fitting the cabinets it will fly through, there is so much to be done beforehand though. We are 3 weeks in and it’s looking a bit like a kitchen, but they are doing the whole house really except the bathroom so it’s a lot to get through

Thanks everyone, its been a hard few weeks. I started with a upset tummy a week before it all started. At first I ignored it and thought it would go away but a week later and the kitchen starting, I decided to google what not to eat on an upset stomach and took out dairy etc. A week later its still really not good so ring the docs. They had a prod and poke and told me to get blood tests and scans. Waiting on those appointments but now i'm in week 4 and i think it is starting to settle, at least from where it was this time last week... always something
But yes kitchen! Last week was a bit slow. They came every day including Saturday (i think the plasterer was running behind so he made him come). Unfortunately, not been back yet this week so 2 days of work lost. The main guy was really apologetic and said that he had found another plasterer to come and finish the few small areas that are left. He said that tomorrow someone should also appear to start clearing the floor ready for screeding and then get it boarded. Hoping to get some undercoat on the dry walls too. Our kitchen units were supposed to arrive this Sunday, but I got a text from DIY Kitchens early this morning saying that unfortunately it will be Tuesday instead, but that helps us I guess! got everything crossed no more delays. A few pics, but not terribly exciting. So pleased we had the chimney breast opened up wider, it will look amazing when painted. I just want it done now, feels so far away atm! I am also really excited to get my splashback ordered, but cannot do that until i know the size i need. I discovered last week that I could tweak the hue on that picture I wanted so it wasn't slightly copper. I can have it now and it be more gold! Thanks for reading! x

So we are now at the end of week 3. Had a few days where no workmen were in due to one reason or another. But, finally feel like we are progressing. Painting has started and spots are in. I'm so excited for next week as they will be starting the floor on Monday! Yay at last the dust will be decreasing 😂
It feels so big now with the awful arch gone.

The progress is continuing, its been so slow, the amount of prep is crazy! The flooring is nearly down and I keep pacing up and down having a look through the doorway. I so desperately want to see some units out of the garage make there way in the house! It will be worth it in the end i'm sure but right now, feel a little hysterical! hahahaaaaaaaa muaaaaahhhhhhhhhahhhhhh

What is your floor? It’s lovely and an ideal colour for our lounge if the floorboards aren’t in good condition. I can’t go too light as the Labrador hairs show up. It’s slow and painful isn’t it but you will get there
