The exact same thing happened to us on the I4 in 2008. It was awful. You couldn't see beyond the front of the carit felt like the storm was on top of us. The worst thing was the American cars kept going

My OH dearnt pull over in case somebody went up our back end

We are here in Sunny FL at the moment. the current weather is no different than any other July/Aug we have visited in the past. Most of the day is HOT HOT HOT then at tea time you get a huge down pour, sometimes as long as 30 mins then HOT HOT HOT again. Mind you yesterday i have not seen it rain like that before in Orlando, phew, mind you all was not lost, we were stuck in dunkin doughnuts...

Just got back from the Florida Mall, on leaving the heavens opened, but two miles down the road its sunny and HOT HOT HOT.. So dont worry, if you see the clouds approaching have a plan to head in doors or make sure you have a rain coat, within seconds your soaked to the skin and can be a little uncomfortable with wet undies in an Air conditioned shop or resturant.

You can tell when the rain is coming, all the table service resturants book up quickly and take away tables are full or people not eating.

The first time we came we thought we were English, whats wrong with a bit of rain, boy, we got soaked, our skin was like a prune.

Dont worry about the forcast, even if it rains in Tampa then the Florida forcast is correct.

There has been very little rain the last 10 days we have been here.
On the weather Channel its saying rainfall for July is over 6inches below normal, so very little rain.

Does anyone know what happens if say there is a thunderstorm and they cancel spirit of aloha etc? Do you just get moved to a different day, or get your tS credits back or what?

Came back one week ago and in our whole fortnight we only got caught in rain on our second night...in AK and had to wear a poncho.

We were in Bloomingdales one day and could see the rain outside but by the time we left it had cleared up.

Also went to Seaworld and late afternoon they closed the rides and one of the shows got cancelled because lightening in area...but it only drizzled a bit.

I took a few packs of the 99p for 2 ponchos from Asda and we only used one each that first night.

People talk about July/August weather - how different is September or is it more of the same?
