Thomson help
Flying with Thomson is a completely new experience for us, as is checking in on line as we have usually done the BA/Virgin twilight check in, but Thomson apparently are no longer providing this service (not at Gatwick anyway).
So…….. if we check in on line and print out our boarding passes from home, do we still have to queue to have luggage weighed in etc or is it just a case of handing it over to someone. Also the flying experience, not too bothered about drinks as we are pretty much non drinkers but do they provide headphones/blankets free of charge the same as BA/Virgin. Last question, can we purchase an extra suitcase coming home if we need to. So grateful for any tips you can give us.

Pretty sure headphones and that are free, I've only flown premium with Tui so can't say for certain.
As a whole the flying experience was good with Tui the dreamliner is a great aircraft and very comfortable. If your referring to buying extra suitcase luggage allowance I've only ever payed for it in advance as their per kg over allowance at the airport is pretty high, if you want to do this go onto Tui flight extras website upto 3 days before flight and I believe it's £20 per person for an extra 5kgs. |

yes you have to queue up and every person who has a checked bag has to be there.
yes they provide drinks, pillows blankets etc (at least they do in PE) Thomson prices for extra luggage are pretty ridiculous, they charge £40 to add an extra 5kg on per person, you can split your luggage allowance between as many bags as you want and can also pool your allowance for your party. Paying for extra weight at sanford will cost you a LOT of money |

Thanks for you replies, we have managed to add the extra 5kg per person, but what a nightmare we had.
Still all checked in now... roll on Saturday

Tui check in is 7 days in advance or 14 days if you have paid to select any seat.

Also if bag drop is available no need to queue if you have checked in online and have printed boarding passes.

Make sure no checked in bag is above 23kg, particularly on the way back as they will make you empty stuff out
