Trogir - excellent short break option.

There are often threads on here with people looking for a short break option.

Just thought I would give a big thumbs up for Trogir in Croatia.

Here now. Split airport 2-3 hours max from UK depending where you fly from (2 from Stansted) easyJet flights good and reasonably cheap. Split airport 3 months post refurb, seamless.
Easy transfers to Trogir (4-5 Km) from the airport.

Trogir small and beautiful UNESCO world heritage site, fantastic architecture and castle. Plenty to do for 3 days, easy access to Split. By boat, bus or taxi, if you wish to see more. Regular boats out to islands.

Evening meals around £35pp for two thus far Inc local drinks. Italian influenced.

Fabulous blue sky and sea. Some beaches if you like sand but not stellar.

location location location. Pay cash on arrival but view is amazing.

Ps it's 27-28 degrees ATM.

Returned from split on Thursday & we visited trogir on the local bus.
I must say,we have travelled the world & I have said,that this area is one of the nicest we have visited & it’s right on our doorstep,such a short flight.
First time visiting,but not the last.

It's fab isn't it?

I am going to split tomorrow. Am undecided about the bus or the ferry. How did you find the bus, was it air-conditioned?

Is the bus station far from the stuff we would wish to see if visiting for a day. My mum's not the most mobile.

We really enjoyed our week in Porec on the Istrian Peninsula this time last year and have said we would like to return to a different area in Croatia, so will keep this thread in mind.

The bus station is right by the port,so not a lot of diffence in walking distance to town,for the boat or the bus.
They are both central,really close to the riva,not far to walk at all.

Awhhh brilliant! Loved reading your post, we are off to Split next week and I can’t wait! We have a car while we are there so Trogir is definitely on the list. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to those temperatures too!

The car park is next to the bus station in Trogir, easy to find. These apartments are right next door...
