We got there last October at 9.45 and the car parks were closed, they don't open until 10 am, security wouldn't let us in even to wait.

To be clear, you don't have to pay to park at any of the outlets - however they do have paid options which 'guarantee' you a space near the entrance. I think the i-Drive outlets also has a form of valet parking as well.
We've never used either, always managed to get a space ok - but we do now try to either get there around opening or later in the evening. We just find both those are nicer times to shop, a bit cooler and not as busy. |

I will never pay to park at the outlets and you just need to be a bit canny in where you park.
Vineland Road is hilarious, as if you park across the road near the Uggs shop you actually save loads of time in trying to find a space As is the case at International Drive - we park across the road at the fishing place but at the lower end of the car park that overlooks the Premium Outlets. Admittedly, we were there in prime summer time and tax free weekend, but saved us all the hassle of getting into and out of both Outlets. In exchange of a short walk you actually save more time.
