DVC Restaurant Discounts

Hi Folks,

Well the month long trip has come to an end & wondered whether I was the only one with issues & DVC discount? I lost track of the amount of times I mentioned being a DVC member & then having to remind the server again when they brought the bill! Even worse was the times where I reminded them, they take the bill away & still forget it! Case in point- Flying Fish- our server having rattled off his spiel at a rate of knots, then asks if we have AP/TIW, I reply no but we are DVC owners, "that's great as it get's you 10%...". Fast forward to the end of our meal, bill is left, no discount, I leave my CC plus blue DVC card on top of the wallet, server picks it up, checks name & hands me it back stating it's ok he has seen it... brings check back... exactly the same ! but by now the server is nowhere to be found! & to be fair it wasn't the only place.
Our experience with our Universal AP is the exact opposite & normally the first question that they ask.

Yes had this problem in California Grill in July. Asked about discounts I said I had DVC, they told me I got a discount. Bill comes and no discount. Had to call server back to get it changed!

At both those restaurants I would have paid the bill.

Without a tip.

They won't do it twice.
