Unless you paid for full Office when you got the laptop then, yes, it'll just be a free lite version. I think this can only be used for a certain length of time (30 days?) and then the apps can only be used in "read-only" or "limited features" mode (I think?).

I am leaning towards buying a cheap old laptop and she can just use that for " office "

I am waiting for her to go back to school to check the version of Office and we will just match that, it'll be easier for me in the long run
