GCSE parents?

DS is in an autism unit attached to his school.
As soon as the exam was over, he and another lad were whisked away for an afternoon out with their key workers.
They have been his and my rock the last few years, so I'm sad hes leaving. I did have a little cry over the card and gift they gave him.
He will still be in uniform if he gets into the college he really wants. He wants to do animal care, so they have overalls for handling days and jumper and t shirt for class days.

Well that’s it, last exam done, and DD has left her school. Her school doesn’t have a sixth form, so there’s no going back there now, but fingers crossed she will be moving on to another college. Next stop prom in 2 weeks. Well done everyone for getting through this past month. I’ll see you all on the next thread about results day 😬

Poor DS still isn’t done - he has Further Maths on Monday but then his plan is to sleep and play golf!

We are all done here. DD reckoned there was a whole section of the Physics paper that they hadn't covered but seeing as she has had 6 (yes 6! ) Physics teachers this year, I am not surprised

We couldn't go out to celebrate last night because she was dancing from 4.30-9.00 - an extra long class as they have a show next weekend. She also has a technical rehearsal tomorrow and she works at her dance studio on Saturdays, so she is planning to spend the whole of Monday in bedI

How you all have happy holidays, Disney or otherwise and see you all on Results day.

My DS has one more citizenship paper. Apparently not all schools do this GCSE. They had their leavers assembly on Friday though & did the shirt signing.

Yes all done here too. DS enjoyed staying up until midnight last night. We went out for lunch when I picked him up after the last exam, took a photo of him leaving for the last time.

Can't beleive he has left school. Seems like only yesterday I took a photo of him in his uniform on his first day.

Do you have first and last day photos to share, would love to see them.

I have booked results day off to go with him. See you all then.

We are not done either, Geman Monday, ds was gutted as the majority of his friendship group finished Friday! Don't know about him, I am looking forward to it being over!
