The CDC has recommended any arrivals quarantine and get tested, since last year. When we did the work around through Mexico, the CDC still recommended (not mandated) quarantine and return tests but Florida did not, so we didn’t have to. At the time, it was mandatory in NY though. So maybe, the ‘recommendation’ will continue but it will be up to the individual state on their health advice.

Apologies if I have missed it.
Fingers crossed. Unvaccinated children have the same status as a vaccinated adult so if anyone has to isolate it would be the whole family.

I guess you could read it that way with a hopeful hat on, but to me the lack of information is not confirmation of the reverse.

To lay out the total evidence we have here on this topic:

Evidence suggesting some combination of either quarantine or post arrival tests is required for not fully vaccinated children:

1. The text on the CDC website (with the caveat that there's a few 'mays' in their wording).
2. The attestation document linked to from the CDC website (which admittedly looks draft, dodgy and unfinished).
3. Personal CDC email and phone call replies to people who have asked, posted earlier in this thread.

On the other hand, evidence suggesting this won't be needed:

One press conference involving a CDC official who seemed awfully unsure...and even then still suggested the tests will be needed just the quarantine won't be.

I want to be wrong, but one side looks the stronger case to me currently.

Oh no. We don’t go until April. I will wait for a little while but probably take voucher for deposit off BA. Might use it for Vegas for me and hubby.

If anyone is going in November (we are 29th) has anybody with kids under 18 got a plan B or C if it ends up being
7 day quarantine and 3 to 5 day test?

Possibly a stupid question but I have an under 2, so if I don’t need to fill in an Attestation does that mean no day 3-5 test and/or quarantine? I’m not trying to get around any laws but just checking what it actually means in practice…

No plan B. I think in the next couple of days this will all be cleared up and we’re all worried for no reason.
