Best place for a cheap suit?!

My husband has a job interview for a trainee recovery hgv driver. It specifies to come in interview appropriate clothing. I am guessing this means a suit?

Where is the best place we can try to get a cheap suit that will do for interviews from the mainstream shops?

Thanks

Supermarkets (Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco), Matalan, Peacocks, Primark, Next are good places to start.

Good luck to your husband with his interview 😊

I'm not sure I'd go in a suit for this role.

How about smart trousers, shirt and jumper/jacket?

Appropriate to me means not hi-viz work wear or jeans/joggers.

Good luck.

I agree with previous poster, a suit may not be necessary. I would say a good pair of trousers with a shirt/ jumper and nicely cleaned shoes rather than a cheap suit.
For an interview he wants to feel comfortable and if he isn’t used to wearing a suit he won’t be.

Hope the interview goes well for him !

I agree with this.. smart casual would be appropriate, I think. Some nice trousers (not jeans), a smart shirt and a blazer/jacket. A tie if he feels comfortable in it, but not necessary. Just a clean, smart appearance is all they are looking for, I think.

Best of luck to him!

Sorry, but I would advise a suit for all interviews.

Next clearance a good option too.

You can hire suits from places, Moss Bros for example. They do normal suits as well as tails etc. Depends how much buying would be ( I was going to suggest matalan) and if you think he would ever wear it again. I assume he cant borrow one from a friend or relative?
