October 2022 Prices through the roof

Hi all

has any one else noticed and or know the reason for prices going sky high for October 2022.
i had been quoted around Ł700 for 16 days 7 seater through Discount Florida car hire but have been waiting for them to return from their holiday to book. I have just checked Hertz and others and now prices are Ł2000 +?

Online prices are crazy expensive due to the vehicle manufacture problems caused by the global shortage of semi conductors. There are still a couple of deals around, if you know where to look and your dates match. I've just replied to your enquiry.

Ł700 is pretty reasonable based on the current prices. As Andy has said and the many many other posts, it's caused by the global shortage as well as car hires selling a lot of there stock off over covid.

Hopefully things will improve, but with booking via Andy or someone else that has free cancellation, you can also change and keep looking as things improve, which hopefully they will by October!

We have just booked with Andy for 7 seater SUV with Hertz for next October/November.

Gold package for Ł675 for 2 weeks which I thought was very reasonable.

Drop Andy an E Mail to see if he can get you an 'offline' price. They can be a lot cheaper.

Yes of course. We are picking up from Hertz at Renaissance Hotel near Seaworld on 29/10/22 and returning to MCO on 11/11/22.

I second what Mr Tom says, email Andy. The price he quoted was much cheaper than Hetrz direct.

just checked for 5 days Monday-Friday for a car that's not tiny its looking at Ł600

Thanks welshmum. We’re looking at 24/10-19/11 to make up for our cancelled trips. I’d happily split up our car hire to get anywhere close to that price for a 7 seater.

Mr Tom Morrow we are actually booked with DFCH. I emailed Andy but he said I needed to book online.
