What a great thread! I feel fat just reading it

I haven’t baked anything yet, must pull my finger out. I love the look of everything here.

Morning everyone, Happy Christmas Eve

All the food looks so yummy.

Has anyone got any sprout recipes that I could do or prepare today and reheat tomorrow? Or it’s going to be boring old boiled ones tomorrow!😂

Thanks

Currently cooking my veges for tomorrow. So much easier then to just throw foils in to roast/heat up. Sprouts are done, waiting on peas and carrots.

So it was lemon drizzle Bundt cake for morning tea. It’s a James Martin recipe that I tweaked to make it lemony.

And a homemade Christmas Eve Charcuterie Platter. We will have enough left over for dinner tomorrow night! The wine was lovely too.

I might need to try Lemon Chicken out on the girls🤔
Colette your mandarin oranges and chocolate puddings have definitely brought back happy memories😊

Does anyone have a nice red cabbage recipe?
In a word...no...sorry wr don't have red cabbage usually so can't help. Your girls need to get their Christmas stomachs working, it's not about if you're feeling hungry. I haven't felt hungry for days now, just slightly less stuffed at some points which is when I shovel in more food

I've decided to roast mine Kelly. I've got three shelves in my oven so will do sprouts, carrots and parsnips in one tray, potatoes get their own tray and then pigs in blankets and sage and onion stuffing balls in the other. It's a jigsaw puzzle to fit it all in. I've cooked some sausagemeat stuffing today that I will just heat up tomorrow.

Hi how are you? I hope you are all well. I'm tired but we are all ok here in Kent. Hunkering down and I'm doing a very good job of distracting myself in the kitchen.

See I really like this idea but everything seems to take up such a lot more space when it's cooked and waiting. Do you transfer to Tupperware? How does it all fit in the fridge? I may end up copying you.

I'm off to deliver presents and the little Christmas cakes, then I need to come up with the timings for the turkey tomorrow. I think I'm nearly ready!

There is only two of us but our fridge is quite big. Christmas is the only time it looks remotely full lol. Two foil takeaway style trays with card lids of each sprouts carrots peas, I can heat up one tomo and the other on boxing day. I pop these in my salad drawer as well there is no salad! Got some individual trifles made in fridge too, with way too much cheese. Oh and a foil tray with sausages in and a defrosted homemade stuffing, you guessed it, in a foil tray.
