I spoke to someone at my local VH store who was able to quote me for the same dates and initially came up with a cheaper package (at ASMo rather than Pop C) with the dining credits and spending money, but I was told that I'd have to cancel my booking and lose my deposit if I wanted to re-book with the new Disney offer (which doesn't tie in with their current 'flexible booking' policy?..)

Then I was told that they could transfer my deposit over but I'd have to change my dates, which then meant that the flight price went up. I was also told (by a different VH employee) that we'd have to change dates and pay an admin charge of £50pp...

All a bit confusing but basically the difference in price was more than the amount we'd gain in dining credits etc in a value resort so it just didn't work for us - but glad I checked!
Hiya Yh I was told the same by my local VH but I rang yesterday the online number spoke to someone who said that she didn’t think it would be a problem to add it to my booking but as I have 3 rooms she would get group bookings to ring me ! Hopefully I hear today and I’ll let you know if it happens but I must admit I’m doubtful 🤨

Put this on another thread before I saw this one,

We have just done some pricing up and we are thinking of either

Universal 7th-9th Dec
Disney - 9th to 23rd

or

Universal 11th to 13th Dec
Disney 13th to 27th Dec

We would be with 3 kids aged 9,6 and 3 at the time

Its weighing up quietness to being at Disney on Xmas day

For those who normally go in December would we get enough done from 13th until it got very busy?

My concern really is that we will have 3 kids with us so don't want it to be ultra busy the whole trip

The shame is that they do not have 21 day tickets anymore, if they did I would probably have done 3 weeks

That's a great help thank you! I thought that was how it worked now but I just wanted to confirm in case I was missing something didn't even know about distripplanner and I've been going for years! so thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

We went 4-18 Dec and it got busier from 16th. Personally I would not want to be over there during the Christmas period as I would expect it to be insanely busy, but then we aren’t tied to school holidays.

Does it say if the giftcard and basket has to be collected from World Of Disney at Disney Spring? I hope not.

Not sure on the basket as I booked value, but about 95% certain that it said collect the gift card from WoD in the confirmation, same as it's been for previous offers. I wish they'd move to a digital card that's emailed on check in, so much easier!

I won't be surprised if the basket is a collect item as well. They only sent the bands to the hotel because you needed them for the room, makes more sense to store them centrally.

Will anyone be buying the refillable mugs with the dining credit? I think we will 😀

Maybe for the DCs but I'm guessing you can't fill a mug with mimosa or beer?

Definitely! We use them soooo much!
I'll be doing my first ever Garden Grocer delivery or Walmart shop to stock up on water and snacks too. It's going to be very different not having a dining plan!
