Sounds lovely. Have you thought about what you will serve to drink? We had two nice champagne cocktails last year...one was a pomegranate one, the other a clementine one.

Oooh. I think we’ll have champagne garnished with fresh raspberries to start then probably move onto wine. None of us are big cocktail drinkers - well I love a vodka martini but I’m on the floor after two 🤣.
Clementine cocktail sounds v nice though and is probable in our likeabilty range - do you have a recipe?

It's really easy. Juice 6 clementines, add 100 ml cointreau and 100 ml vodka. Chill in the fridge until serving. Half fill with the clementine vodka mix then top up with prosecco, cava or champagne.

It was called a clementine martini on BBC food guide.

I think your buffet sounds delicious, and I’m adding the clementine martini to our Boxing Day.

This year I’m drawn towards a buffet but I want to make it super nice. Thus far my list is feeling a little random, incoherent and carby so could do with inspiration:

- salmon side with soy/honey
- gammon
- hassleback new pots
- satay sprouts on cocktail sticks
- sausage roll wreath (m and s)
- homemade quiche - what flavour?
- baked camambert
- fresh bread
- homemade truffled mushroom pate
- Ottolenghi’s winter slaw
- Mac and cheese with hot dogs (for the pasta obsessed boy)

Pudding:
Pecan pie
Sticky toffee
Assorted left over puddings from the day before
Cheese

What would you add/remove? What do you have in your buffets?

No particular restrictions except my mum won’t eat meat on the bone and the smell of vinegar (pickles etc) makes my husband puke.
Forget the sprouts on sticks and use them to make bubble and squeak

Yay! I'm.definitely having them again. Here's a photo from last year.

A martini glass would also work. I hope you enjoy them.

It’s delicious, have my nephew round for dinner tonight, just drinking as a martini will open the champagne to go with round two.
Thanks for sharing,

All sounds lovely. I'd add some sort of a salad. Maybe tomato salad
