Didn’t get quite what we wanted but we’ll manage and keep an eye on more availability opening up.
Exactly the same problem, luckily Kenwood travel gave us three extra fastpasses... doesn’t solve the issue though does it we missed Seven Dwarves and Slinky! Aargh!

Haven’t used new method, but I tend to agree. Even on these forums people’s say I’ve booked FOP for three different days and we will see how it goes.

Respectfully I'd disagree. The old FP had many issues and built in disadvantages too. As you say you had to be there, and for the popular rides you had to be there really early to get any half decent time. How many people have arrived at HS to get TSMM and find their wait would be 7+hrs, if they managed to get one at all. As Persnicketty stated earlier this was difficult for those with young children. Others who like to have a lie in on a holiday, go to a water park in the morning, also at a disadvantage. At least now you can book afternoon FP+ and have them all sorted.

Imagine how quick the FPs would have gone for FOP, and now for Slinky Dog that it's open. Anybody arriving after 10:00am would have no chance. So the old FP worked well for those who were willing to get up early, the new FP favours those that pay the extra to stay on-site. There are not really that many REAL perks to staying on site (other than the perceived being in the bubble, which personally we like). AM EMH are great, evening ones, pretty bad. Free parking will be gone soon. Even the ability to enter a park during phased closing is the same if you have an ADR.

FOP and Slinky Dog are the issues now, 7DMT was when it opened, SW rides will be when they open, new things are popular, in demand. That's the way it works.

Yes FP+ has issues, by no means perfect, but it is far far superior to the old paper FPs.

Agree with all of this...

And in the old days, many people would repeatedly rope drop to get the same rides. Someone will always be at an advantage

when we got to fast pass day it was a right pain on the website, it kept saying nothing was available or that the site was unavailable, then i went on the app on my phone and got all the fastpasses we wanted (including pandora and toystory land) i've since swapped a few fastpasses, and once again it has worked better on the app!

hope you do get the fastpasses you want x x x
