Our DD hasn't used one since turning 5 - we do late nights at the parks but she walks no problem.

She is tall but not heavy but even last time she used her City Mini it was getting hard work to push.

I would play it by ear and rent once there if needed.

We ordered a good one from amazon.com and had it delivered to the hotel (SSR) as the one we took broke on the 2nd day. It was suitable for heavier children (DD is not big but she was 6) and we only paid £46, sold it when we came back for £30. Just another option for you to consider!
