Did you have to go to the desk then?

No, as Avis Preferred members we went straight to the garage. Came up on their system as all paid for and just handed us the keys

We are a family of 12 travelling to Florida.
If I book 2 cars on the same booking for the duration of our stay, and use the free extra drive through BA Executive Club, would myself and the other driver be covered to drive both cars?
TIA

I don't see why not. It should ask for separate main drivers for each car thought I would have thought, so if both are executive club members you should each be able to have each other as a free additional driver on the each others car.

Just go through and do a dummy booking and see how you get on.

We've had a slight change of plan (we've added an extra night at the RPR) so we want to drop the first car we've booked off a day early?

Does anyone know if this will be ok and we won't incur a penalty? We don't expect a refund but we don't want to suddenly be hit with a penalty!

I have emailed Avis to check but wondered if anyone has returned a vehicle a day early.

Thanks for that, I am preferred and my intensions was straight to garage but some have mentioned if it your first booking you need to go to the preferred desk.

But as you have confirmed you do not and I will be following you.

I have never heard of any one being charged for returning a car early, but they can add a charge for it if they want.
Just to protect your self I would wait for the reply from Avis at least that way you have it in writing in case some body decides to put a charge on your CC
