uber and postcode/ zipcode

tried to download the uber app for my mum who goes out monday when it when it comes to add payment card it wont take the postcode

it is showing as UK location but on the card details payment page it asks for a zip code and then says unrecognisable ( I have tried putting both a postcode and a zipcode and neither allow me to move onto the next button )

can anybody help with this ? or advise

I had the same problem then deleted the space between the two parts of the postcode and that solved the issue

thank you I have been working with the help/ support people all afternoon and still no further forward

it seems that the postcode needs to be in lowercase and the Samsung smart phone keeps changing it to uppercase :angry:

I've been into keyboard settings to stop the auto capitals, uninstalled and reinstalled this app, restarted the phone as suggested and i'm pretty fed up with it all

I have asked for it to just be deleted but they seem determined to get us set up

if need be I will just have to add pay pal and my mum will suffer the poor dollar rate

Can you try logging onto the Uber website rather than the app in order to add the payment details? Maybe on a computer or tablet instead of your phone?

i set up my Uber account on my laptop and then downloaded the app on my phone and logged in.
