Mobile Volcano bay or aquatica

As the title says which one is the best. We only want one water park this year. We have been to aquatica twice and loved it, so are thinking of going to volcano bay for a change. My son and husband love all the fast water ride thrills where as I like the lazy river type stuff. So which one is better? .

Volcano bay is the best overall.
it has fast slides, and it's even got 2 lazy river (one fast one which is so much fun, and a regular one)

your ticket shows you'll be there end of august, so even if it's quieter second part of august, staying onsite (at least at CBBR) would get your early entry which is invaluable to beat crowds that can be mental at times. And the virtual line system can be disappointing if you're not arriving as early as possible

if you just want a quick dip at the waterpark and can't make sure you are there as early as possible (early entry) then probably stick with aquatica

Volcano Bay is the best but good luck getting on many rides in the peak months (May - August). In fact, getting in the park itself maybe an issue unless you stay at one of their hotels

We stayed at Cabana Bay and had early park entry so had most of the popular rides done by park open.

Yes, that is the best way to tackle Volcano Bay

I agree with this. Wouldn't go back to Volcano Bay. We had a Cabana and the service was terrible when we got any at all. The Lazy River wasn't as good as Aquatica.

Didn’t like Volcano Bay. Too busy. Fast River is dangerous getting in and out with kids. Rides kept breaking down. Loved Aquatica but did by quick queue. Well worth it.

Is it really that busy? We are going in August and are staying in Hard Rock Hotel for 5 nights - and had planned to go (on a Thursday) then. I assume staying in the HRH will get us in early?

Is Volcano Bay on the site of Wet & Wild?
