Awful behaviour

Currently at SeaWorld. While we were queuing for the Penguin ride there was a family ahead of us and the Dad had a child on his shoulders so we couldn’t see. I can forgive this.

When we got to the actual line the cast member asked him to take the child down and let him be measured. He flatly refused. She said she would have to call her supervisor. The line moved along until we were almost ready to load. Another cast member sled him again to let the child be measured. He again refused. The supervisor came over ( a lady) and he ignored her and turned his back on her. She said they couldn’t ride, so he finally got the kid down and let him be measured. His height was fine and he Dad then verbally attached the cast member saying she should have used her common sense over this. We were shocked at his behaviour. Totally rude and uncalled for.

Wow, staff are just doing their job, he would have been the first to holler if they had let the child on and the child got hurt cos they were too small for the ride.

They have to abide by their H&S rules...what other reason could there have been? Love to hear your theories.

I agree - if there were extenuating circumstances he could have politely explained it to the staff member, rather than being obnoxious.

They were American. Totally obnoxious and rude. It was as so uncalled for. The child was aged about 3 and was able to walk once taken off the dads shoulders. They really were arrogant and rude, not to mention sexist against the female staff member. N the end the mum took the child to the height measure, not the Dad. He just wouldn’t let it go, harassing the staff about their attitude etc. Obviously thought the rules should not apply to him x

An escort out of the Park would be seen as an exercise in zero tolerance for that unnecessary behaviour.
