This is in no way an excuse for bad behaviour, but in these days of more prevalent drug and alcohol use and abuse, the rationality of people's behaviour is more and more difficult to predict and it becomes more risky confronting people about their behaviour.
It is a sad reflection of the world we live in. People who act like this, for whatever reason, should be ejected and banned from the park. |

Do they still scan your fingerprints at entrance? If not, they also use facial recognition systems in the parks too.

Different circumstances, but equally appalling behaviour. We were in the queue to meet Peter Pan a couple of weeks ago, had been waiting more than 20 mins for him to arrive, but soon after he did they had to leave due to lightning in the area.
A man (who hadn’t even been in the queue!) started shouting and swearing at all the staff, in front of his own small kids and everyone in the queue. He was vile. I was really upset by it. My husband said ‘come on, that’s not necessary’ and he and his wife started squaring up to my husband. We walked off in the opposite direction. |

Again different circumstances - At the airport on the way back we were waiting in a short queue to be seated at a restaurant (semi open-plan to the rest of the airport) and a man walked in and put his empty beer can on an empty table and went to walk back out. Someone that worked in the restaurant managed to catch up to him and repeatedly tried to get him to take the beer can away and pointed out there was a bin right across the way etc but the man was so rude back telling the worker it was his job to clear tables so he should just do it, it's what he gets paid to do etc. It showed no sign of letting up so we walked away as didn't want to be an audience to it. Don't know the outcome but it was incredibly awkward.

Sounds horrible, no need for such behaviour under any circumstances, particularly hen the attendants are just trying to keep the children safe.
One thing that did irk me a bit with the measuring last year was at Universal. DS was tall enough for MIB at the park entrance and ride entrance however, come to the 2nd measurement at MIB and he was a good inch too short to ride. At least have some consistency with the height charts. Needless to say didn't kick off, just stepped out of the queue and promised to bring DS back when he was tall enough...which he is and we'll be back in 40 odd days to blast the alien scum! |

Universal definitely use facial recognition as part of their security systems.

I agree with the general consensus in this thread. Terrible behaviour and should not be tolerated. Thankfully it doesn’t happen too often given the amount of people visiting the parks. We were on the other side today at DHS. Thankfully we had a return time for Slinky dog went through height check for my little daughter Charlotte who we knew would be borderline. They allowed her through first height check but when we go too the second height check they were extremely strict.it took about 4 staff a couple of minutes to decide that she was millimetres too small. You know what though I accept that they are only doing their job and it is for the benefit of the little ones. We were a little disappointed but they offered child switch. Not as upset as she was but to their credit a staff member gave us a free fast pass for alien swirling saucers which she loves anyway. Once we got her away from slinky dog she was thrilled to be on alien saucers. Final point is that when I rode slinky dog I think it would have been too much for her. My only comment coming away would be that it may have avoided tears if that stringent test was done before we got to the ride but they made the right decision and I respect that.

You are absoulutely right - I am a full grown adult and I don't feel safe in some rides - Splash mountain and Everest being two. There's nothing worse than feeling you are going to slide out of the seat.
