Excited about Disney

I wouldn't consider it until the end of September. As has been said the heater wouldn't come on if the pool temp is warm.

Yes the lack of rain is part of why the pools are hot right now. I have never felt any need for heat in the summer though. Our pool is west facing and the house is 2 story so it isnt even in full sun all day.

I think those looking for pool heat in Florida in summer are really looking for a sauna experience.

We stayed in a place in Anna Maria Island (right on a canal, it was lovely) that had a pool chiller. I had never heard of that before but now I understand. (the chiller was not in use when we were there but it gave us a giggle)

The guests who were in the villa we are staying before us had pool heat on and it was so hot! Thankfully it started to cool down after a day or two. We’ve never had pool heat in the summer months.

Never had a heated pool in August, it’s too hot so getting in a cold pool is so refreshing! Did have it in October though, and it was just right.

Wife and I went one Sept when it was unusually hot and the villa pool was a bit chilly, although I suppose that could be just the temp difference.
When we took our grandkids in Aug we paid for the pool heating - it did work, could feel warmer water at the inlet, but I don’t think it was on much, so it wasn’t hot like a bath. Kids loved it - only used the resort pool once and they didn’t want to go back as it was ‘cold’. |

We put the heating on in June, it was exceptionally hot out there and I think the contrast was just too much. I know from when I worked in Leisure people often complained about the pool temperature during heatwaves.
