Ds2/3 are they can’t work on power lines in extreme heat but are on stand by for outages they are both just finnished getting folk back on line from last nights storm

Luckily I’ve booked this week off as A/L... usually no chance of days off though as I’m a mental health nurse! Glad I’ve got the week off to be honest as extreme weather usually leads to some very extreme presentations with our patients lol 😂

Crikey, I've never heard of this!

We have air con at work so not a problem (it's not really for staff comfort but to stop equipment overheating, but it's a nice perk on a hot day). However, I work in central London and the buses and tubes aren't brilliant in this weather! (thankfully I only have a short commute).

What a very kind Boss! I work for the council and our Town Hall has air control something so usually it's cool and air con in my car so into work I go Not sure what Asda will be like on my way home

I am off the rest of this week. It has been awful in work while it has been hot. I work in an office that is within an office, no air con, no window. Been pretty uncomfortable.

I loved working when it was really hot - my work had air-conditioning.
The other 364 days, not so much.

Sadly not, women birth their babies regardless of the heat, and believe me it gets hot as hell at work! It is sweltering for us but still cold for the babies so we have to become human jerky... good for my weight loss though!
