Proud to wear my Ears

Florida May 2019
I have booked to go to Florida for 3 weeks in May. 1st-22nd. What are the crowds like? How hot is it? I have only ever been August/September/October.

May is a usually a great month to visit. I say usually because May 2018 was a bit of a washout weather wise but you can expect excellent temperatures with lower humidity than peak summer. Some people say there is no quiet time to visit these days but my trips in May have meant I can get most rides done several times if you arrive for park opening. Some of the newer rides always draw queues around the block so it's upto you whether you want stand in line for over an hour, personally not my idea of fun.

We arrive the day before you! This is my favourite time of year to go.
Apart from this year when there was unusually a bit of rain the weather is normally good. Last year in the 18 days we were there we had one 2 hour bit of rain and that was it! This was the weather most days - If you’re doing Universal we found that very quiet. The Disney parks were fairly quiet too. MK is always busy but we find it very manageable. Also EPCOT has flower and garden festival on which is the best time to visit in my opinion, it’s beautiful! |

I’m flying 3 May to POFQ - was there same time in 2017 and weather and crowds were good.
Unexpected penny - looks like we’re both celebrating birthdays, although at different points on the age scale! Enjoy!

The first 2 weeks this year in May were lovely, I was out there from 28th April - 12th May and it was lovely, I think we had one day of rain and that was it. I know the week after from 13th was rain rain rain though.
Next year it needs to change, as we go for a fortnight, but not until May 11th. So fingers crossed it'll be lovely all month |

We go on the 4th May! Hoping for better weather than October last year (although I think that was also unusual due to the tail end of the hurricanes)
