Kraków - Just booked

Hi all

As the title says, we’ve just booked Kraków for the beginning of November.

Any personal recommendations for restaurants and bars please?

We’re definitely going to go to Auschwitz so I’m currently researching tour groups.

Happy to learn of any tips that you may have.

Something completely new for us and we’re really looking forward to it

Love, love, love Krakow. We usually go between Xmas and new year.

Train goes directly from the airport to Krakow, costs around Ł1.50pp so no need for transfers.

Auschwitz I’d recommend a private transfer rather than having to wait on a coach full.

Salt mines is also worth going to. Spend some time just walking and taking it in. There’s the castle, schindlers, underground museum, Pope John Paul museum and lots more. We’ve been six times and keep finding more to do (although we do spend a lot of time in the pub with friends ).

Lots of restaurants and pubs. One of our favourites is Miod Malena - it’s on the corner opposite Pandora - you may need to book as it’s really popular with locals.

If you like steaks then Pimiento is lovely.

The restaurants on the square are more expensive but even then they’re extremely reasonable.

For a good breakfast then the milk bar on Tomaska is lovely.

Have a wonderful time!

Krakow is fabulous. We used Prime Tours Krakow for trips to the salt mines, Auschwitz and Birkenau, and the JP2 tour including the museum and JP2 centre. They were brilliant and excellent value.

Definitely the salt mines. We got a bus from just outside the main square (long time ago so can’t remember the name but was easy to catch). Also enjoyed the castle and finding the dragon

We visited a few years back & used krakowtrip .com who took us on a day trip to Auschwitz, Birkenau & the Salt mines in a day & was a great experience. Would highly recommend them.
