Great report. I love some ToT and willingly go straight back around if minimum wait time. I went to Toy Story Land my last visit, came straight back out as it was heaving, loads of tiny humans and I had no fast passes.
So the buffet, I did a seafood buffet at the Swan, had exactly the same experience with bendy crab claws (thought I was just being a doofus) so thanks for writing about that. I have to say I'd never go back for one of those unless it was at a specialist place that was offsite.
I'm glad you realised what had caused the alarming reaction, I have to say I love the Frozen singalong as the narrator humour is right up my juvenile alley. I love a strawberry acai in the trenta size as well, though as I'm not on a dining plan this time I'm not sure how many I will consume. Was that mug a new one btw, I have 2 series of mugs and that does not look like any of my mugs.

I don't think it is possible to make it through a Disney trip without having some sort of argument with your significant other! If anyone tells you they have managed it then they are for sure lying! The good thing is that when in the happiest place on earth these squabbles are soon forgotten, good old Slinky Dog for causing the perfect distraction

I love how after so many years of dodging ToT it is now a favourite ride! And great you got to experience the standby queue, as great as FPs are you definitely miss out on some amazing theming with some rides by taking the quicker route in!

I am totally with A that winning on accuracy score is totally a thing... mainly because it is the only way I can ever beat Paul on TSMM (yep I refuse to drop 'Midway' too!)

Have you even been to DHS if you don't take a photo of the giant guitar with the Hollywood Tower Hotel in the background as you leave Rock 'n' Rollercoaster?! Textbook.

And massive brownie points to A for giving up his seat for the lady with a baby... he will be pleased to know his act of chivalry featured in todays instalment I am sure!

Such a fab read as always, literally has given me butterflies of excitement thinking about being out there later this year. Can't wait for the next day!
Thank you!

Accuracy, schmaccuracy…

I have so many identical photos from each trip but I can never bring myself to delete any of them, you know how it its!

I will let A know that you've noted his chivalry. Ha!

Oh my god... Unfingered tarts amazing!

Another great write up and I'm glad your reaction didn't turn into anything serious!

I sort of knew going into it that Andy wouldn't enjoy it, but it was my birthday trip so that was my excuse!

Ooh, I could feel the rage during the missed rope drop situation. It is definitely impossible to do a Disney trip without having hiss angry words at your significant other at some point. Glad slinky was worth it and all was forgotten.

Thoroughly enjoying your photo pass pics again, the one where it looks like you’ve been forced to hug each other is my favourite.

Glad your poor skin returned to normal fairly quickly and it wasn’t anything serious. Thanks for another great update.
Haha well, erm, I aim to please.
We have so many awkward hugging photos that it's not even funny. These days we positively encourage those types of pics as we've kind of written off the hope of ever getting a decent one.

You managed to do ToT twice in one day, and without a beer to give you courage. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's horrific and hilarious in equal measure. I really HATE the front row though and would not have enjoyed your second ride of the day.

Shame about your blotchiness taking over, it sounds like you needed a bit of a nap though from all the wake ups in the night. I hope it wasn't a recurring bit of blotchy redness.

2 for 2 on the tots, now the big question on all our lips is can you score 3 for 3?
Horrific and hilarious is the perfect summary of ToT. We do err more towards the "hilarious" side now though which is funny in itself as we steadfastly avoided the ride for so many years. And I do love the front row - I like a view!

3 for 3 on the tots? (not ToTs)? Absolutely - watch this space!

Thanks for sharing and can’t wait for the Animal Kingdom perfection.
Oh that would drive me to distraction. Moaning at people who can't get out of bed at 06:00 on holiday is one of my greatest pleasures. Haha.

That's a good point - however, due to the psoriasis, my skin is massively over-sensitive so I feel like it might be me, rather than the formula per se.

Well, welcome along to a Helen and Andy trip report! Haha!

I only recently read that the screams at ToT are fake, and I am quite mad about that, because I was so close to finally riding on our last HS day last year, but when I heard the screams, I bottled it. And you have just made me realise that even if I ever do pluck up the courage to ride I am guaranteed to have someone’s hand obscuring my ride photo.

I know what you mean about there not being a lot to do in DHS, despite Toy Story Land, and it’s not as though Star Wars Land is going to make things any better. I definitely think they need more high capacity attractions and probably a few show changes just to keep things fresh.

I really fancy that Breakfast Bowl at Woody’s Lunchbox, I’ll keep your hot sauce tip in mind.

Cape May looks fabulous, I am desperate to go back but Nik turns his nose up at the smell. Cannot believe you didn’t get any crab after all of that drama, no Bon Jovi tickets, no crab, what’s tomorrow’s disappointment?!
Oh you should definitely ride ToT. Honestly, I was terrified - for YEARS - and now I have no idea why. I don't have a massive tolerance for drop rides but this one is so smooth you just feel like you're bouncing around on a big rubber band. We both love it now and it's a must-do.

Yes, the lunch bowl was great. Big too, so it definitely kept us going. I felt it needed the chilli sauce, so you have to kind of get over the fact it turns the eggs pink...

Ah there is a disappointment in the next instalment, of the frozen margarita variety...

Oh goodness, I dread to think how that explanation went. I wouldn't even know where to start! Glad it made you laugh though.

Very exciting to read such a glowing review of Slinky! I was worried it would be like the goofy coaster over at MK!

That breakfast is definitely not my cup of tea, but I’m glad you enjoyed it and got your tater tot tally up!

Absolutely loving the love you both have for ToT these days! Who would have thought it! Oh and well done on the “big two” photo! So proud haha!

Scary moment with your break out! Glad it calmed down! Stupid fake snow! Oh and have to say - good heroism there, Andy! Gold star

Your meal sounded a bit dodgy, but you know I’d not be persuaded a seafood buffet could be anything else! Bless poor old Juli though, she tried her very best! Haha!

Great read, as per and worth the wait.

In the words of Ariana Grande... thank you, next! Xxx
Slinky isn't as scary as Goofy, haha! You'll get to see for yourself soon!

I suspect you might enjoy the pop tarts they do...or the chocolate marshmallow French toast...

I shall tell Andy about the gold star; he'll be thrilled about it.

Hehehe glad it was worth the wait

Fast passes are an absolute must for Toy Story land. I felt it lacked the appeal to simply wander around - as the rides have such a huge footprint - and whilst the detailing was amazing, it lacked corners or shady spaces to sit and watch the world rush past.

Who knew that Bendy Claws (Sandy's cousin?) were a thing in Disney? I suspect it's because they've been boiled or steamed for hours in order to avoid any food poisoning. Same way that the only way you can often only get a medium rare steak in the World is to order it blue.

Yeah, it's a new mug - certainly wasn't there when we went in 2017 and stocked up on the second iteration of mugs. It's the only Land one we have I think - although the previous MK one was Fantasyland themed.
