I'm supposed to go 17th August, pretty much convinced it's not going to happen Can't push back as wife works at school
Ah well Also just had an email from Virgin, the flights I also have booked for March 2022 have just been changed I think I'll give up and have a holiday on Wigan pier instead

Have you allowed for a possible 10 days quarantine on your return if the US is only put on the amber list ? We were in the same situation - flying out on 12th for 2 weeks but have cancelled and booked for next year so we dont have to worry about traffic lights and tests for this year. |

We were booked for the 14th August but have applied for a refund as we were flying with Aer Lingus and Stobart from our local airport until they went bust. That was the final straw I was already worried as we were due back on 5th September so amber wouldn’t work for us. All the uncertainty of tests too just seems too hard this year. 😞

I never thought of this either, we are booked for two weeks from 7th August but that was only because I was allowing 14 days at the end for quarantine if necessary but that has been reduced to 10 now so as long as we are back by the 27th that would be OK.

Think I’ll stick with 7th. I will cost £250 more to switch to 2 weeks from 19 night. Just gotta keep everything crossed I suppose!
