Aer Lingus cancel all Manchester US flights through 30th September

The thread “just dropped in yesterday “ so I decided to drop in the thread yesterday as have flights booked Manchester to Orlando with AL.. then got the dreaded emails lol

My MAN-DUB, DUB-MCO and MCO-MAN flights have all been cancelled, by email from Aer Lingus.

Anyone any idea how long it takes to get the voucher from AI? Has anybody received one yet? I had the email confirming I'll be getting one, but that's it.

After 5 phone calls and speaking to different people giving different messages, we've been moved from MAN-MCO direct flight to MAN-LHR-MCO on the same dates. We're back in the game for now

I hope you're luckier - but we had a flight cancelled on the 19th MAY and still waiting on a refund or further communication

This is exactly what I want... But blinking ocean Florida are telling me my flights are still going ahead, I've sent them a screenshot, told them call aer Lingus and they are still telling me my flights are due to fly. I've spoken to Al direct and I know they are cancelled.
I don't understand why it's taking so long

Honestly it has been an ordeal getting that sorted. Only switched to direct flights on Monday too. Brief outline of calls:

Call 1 - no alternative options, refund or voucher are the only options so opted for refund.
Call 2 - rang back after seeing alternatives offered to others. Told no alternatives again.
Call 3 - tried again. Told there was a MAN-DUB-JFK-MCO available but as I'd requested a refund I couldn't have those flights anyway. Requested to speak to a supervisor but still waiting 2 days later.
Call 4 - no alternatives (despite a friend having theirs changed an hour prior to my call) and that official communication was that we weren't eligble for re-accommodation on another flight as we were on the MAN-MCO flight. Absolute load of rubbish!
Call 5 - 10 mins after call 4, spoke to a lovely woman called Rally who moved us on to the indirect flight via LHR. Ironically, she spoke the best English out of all of the advisors so may well have been a language barrier issue. Who knows?

All this whilst in the process of moving house too. Stress levels have been through the roof this week.

Spoken to ocean Florida, they have said once AL cancel the flights there side they will put me on the BA for the same day.

I'm back to stressing YAY 🤣

I was told it should be 7-10 days but they have been inundated (not surprisingly) so was told it might be more like 14 days. We shall see.
