We are also on the Easter bandwagon. This is the fifth time for us at Easter and it is always busy, so wont expect anything less if we get there. Flying out on the 31st March for 17 nights. Into Miami, night in a hotel somewhere nearby that night, up early to drive to our second home from home now in Sunset Lakes. Cant wait!

We are Easter people too! Had flights for this July cancelled but have now rebooked for 5 April for 19 nights. We have flights LHR - MIA - TPA plus a luxury car for 19 nights for 3 adults for £2700. We have 10 nights in an Orlando villa and 8 nights in a condo at One Particular Harbour, AMI. Its a relatively new Jimmy Buffett resort and looks beautiful.
Surely things will be back to normal by next Easter. Oh wait, I remember saying that about this July!

Hi Easter peeps,
we where 1st timers easter 2017, loved it so saved and had easter 2020 booked ... obvs that didnt happen, so bit the bullet last week and booked 29/3- 12/4 man-lgw-mco and return, spent more than i wanted too on flights (got a great deal in 2020) but then only a bit more than flights in 2017 so all in all felt it was worth it, onsite at CSR for 6 nights with dining credits, $200 etc, then aiming to book a few nights on idrive ... and hopefuly get to AMI for 4/5 nights at the end... but prices have rocketed for this , so trying to find a good deal that fits our dates. we really need something to look forward to , ds starts uni this year and dd just finished high school and will be starting college, so didnt want to wait any more precious time ... think weve accepted this trip is going to cost more than we planned... but itll be the last big family holiday for a while ( sadly) so worth every penny!

We're all set for Easter 2022 too (fingers crossed).
Booked direct flights MAN - MCO, March 31 - April 14, two adults and two children, with intermediate SUV for £2729 which looks to be a great price. Got to take kids (8 & 11) out of school for just two days, the flights were so much cheaper on the Thursday outbound. Just got to sort accomodation, plan is for first 2/3 nights at Hard Rock @ Universal and the rest near Lake Buena Vista. I'm looking at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, though we could opt for villa. Good luck to all those booking Easter too! |

We're in for Easter 2022 too...all going well.
Booked EDI-MCO via PHL via BA, flying out March 30th (Paid £3000 for 2AD+2CH for flight & accommodation) - we were originally going to go through LHR to MIA but the deal we got through Philly was better for us despite the later arrival it means the long drive is avoided both ways and we get home at a normal time. Staying at the Enclave Suites but will probably book a night or two at a Universal hotel to go with it and get some express passes Airport hotel & parking sorted too, decent deal for the Hilton at EDI for park & fly Reasonable price for car hire sorted from Andy @ DFCH Fingers crossed that we get positive news soon and can properly plan

We're all booked for Easter too!
Booked Miami hotel, flights & car via BA for £2,590 for 2A. Currently flying direct into MCO and out of Miami. Got 8 nights in Orlando and then going on a cruise for 5 days and then spending 1 night in Miami before travelling home. We've booked Homewood Suites Orlando Theme Parks for $650 for the Orlando part of the trip, so in total we're paying about £1,500pp which I didn't think was too bad!

Interesting that a lot of Dibbers seem to be flying in via Miami. Out of interest are the savings sizeable when you have to then do the big 5(?) hour drive up to Orlando?
(Obviously the answer is yes which is why a lot of Dibbers do it, however I'm curious (nosey!) to hear what the numbers are compared with a direct UK to MCO type flight - please) |
